“Reading The Hindu regularly helps students improve their communication and language skills,” advised Muppala Srinivasa Rao, president of the Bapatla Educational Society, while addressing students at a seminar on careers in management, technology, and sciences at Bapatla Engineering College on Friday.

The seminar was jointly organised by The Hindu FIC and SRM University–AP, in collaboration with Bapatla Engineering College, to guide students in exploring diverse career paths and postgraduate options.

Highlighting the institution’s four-and-a-half-decade legacy, Mr. Srinivasa Rao noted that the society has been striving for 45 years to impart knowledge, skills, and industry readiness to students. He encouraged students to actively learn from experts and make the most of such sessions to enhance their professional outlook.

V.V.S. Pradeep, Assistant Director, SRM–AP, said the seminar aimed to help students gain clarity and direction at the crossroads of their academic and professional choices. He urged them to listen with their “mind, senses, and heart,” and to remain open to the possibilities that lie ahead.

Dharma Theja, Programme Director, Paari School of Business, SRM–A.P., emphasised the importance of continuous learning and skill development alongside academic degrees. Using a live case study, he illustrated how a B.Tech graduate transitioned from a technical role to a product manager by developing communication, leadership, and decision-making abilities.

N. Rama Devi, Principal, and Niranjan, Dean of Student Affairs, were present. The seminar saw enthusiastic participation, with students actively engaging in discussions on placements, salaries, and career growth.
