A 29-year-old travel company owner ended his life in Salem on Thursday.
R. Diwakar, a resident of Uthalkudi in Madurai district, runs a travel company. On October 20, he came to Salem and stayed in a lodge at Suramangalam near Salem Junction. On Thursday, he did not come out of the room for hours and on doubt, the lodge staff opened the door using an alternate key and found Diwakar dead.
On information, Suramangalam police came to the spot and sent the body to Salem Government Hospital for post-mortem examination. The police registered a case and are investigating.
