A 22-year-old dancer and social media influencer, M. Sibiraj, was arrested on Friday night in Manavala Nagar, Tiruvallur district, for allegedly possessing 55 grams of methamphetamine.
Police sources said that officers from the Manavala Nagar Police Station, who were on routine patrol, stopped Sibiraj while riding his motorcycle.
During a search, the police officers reportedly found 55 grams of methamphetamine hidden in his vehicle.
Sibiraj was booked under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act and lodged at Central Prison, Puzhal, on Saturday.
